After weeks of heightened activity, funding momentum for Indian startups slowed in the first week of November. Twenty startups raised $237.8 million during November 3-7, down 36% from the $371 million raised by 30 startups in the previous week.

Highlights of the week in startup funding
- Marketing automation SaaS startup MoEngage had its only mega-funding of the week, raising $100 million from Goldman Sachs and A91 Partners. On the back of the mega round, corporate technology funding soared to the top spot.
- The AI sector continued to see strong investor interest this week, with six startups raising a total of $67.6 million.

This week’s startup IPO updates
- Lenskart’s IPO of INR 7,278 closed a bumper 28.26X oversubscriptionwith investors bidding for 281.88 Cr shares against 9.97 Cr shares on offer. The company is expected to go public on Monday.
- Groww’s INR 6,600 The IPO was oversubscribed 17.6 timeswith investors bidding for shares worth 641.86 Cr against the shares worth 36.48 Cr being offered. The company is expected to go public on Wednesday.
- After raising INR 1754 from core investors, Pine Labs’ IPO opened on Friday to muted investor reaction. The public issue of the company was subscribed 13% on day 1.
- PhysicsWallah submitted it The RHP for the IPO is INR 3,480which will open for subscription on Tuesday. The company has set a price range of INR 103 to INR 109 for its IPO, implying a valuation of $3.5 billion at the top end of the price range.
- Regulator of markets SEBI has approved Shiprocket’s confidential DRHP On October 31, Shiprocket filed for a May 2025 IPO and plans to raise around INR 2,000 to 2,500 crore from the IPO.
- Renewal of IPO plans, fast trading Zepto will now look to file its DRHP during November by a confidential route. The startup’s public offering will include a fresh issue of between $450 million and $500 million, as well as an undisclosed OFS component.
Updates Fund of the week
- This was announced by the private investment company ChrysCapital final closing of its tenth startup investment fundChrysCapital X, after raising $2.2 billion. ChrysCapital intends to deploy capital over the next 3-4 years, with several deals already in the pipeline.
- Former Wall Street banker Dhruv Jhunjhunwala has launched private equity firm Novastar Partners with plans to raise INR 350 crore for its initial fund of funds (FoF). The new fund will also have a green shoe option of INR 150.

- Swiggy’s board approved plans to raise INR 10,000 through a Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP) or by any other means permitted by Indian regulations.
- Marking the second major secondary transaction in recent months, investor Rapido “TVS Motor” signed contracts for the purchase and sale of shares with Accel and Prosus to sell its stake in the startup for INR 287.9
- Investment firm Lighthouse Canton has raised $40 million in its first round of external funding led by venture capital firm Peak XV Partners with participation from Nextinfinity.
- Edge info coming soon has invested INR 100 crore in its investment arm DeepTech Redstart Labs to meet capital needs, finance potential investments and cover general objectives.
- Karnataka State Govt announced a plan of INR 600 to support entrepreneurs creating technologies in AI, quantum computing, ML, robotics and advanced manufacturing. Of this, INR 150 will go to the new DeepTech Elevate Fund, which will focus on AI and advanced technologies.
- Uber has doubled its investment in India seeks to invest $20 million at fleet management startup Everest Fleet. This will be Uber’s third investment in a startup.
