The answers to today’s Strands Game #615 are…

  • PORTAL
  • ENTRY
  • THE GATE
  • DOOR OPENING
  • AVOID
  • THE THRESHOLD
  • SPANGRAM: LETMEIN

  • My rating: It’s hard
  • My score: Perfect

I’m glad I didn’t use any hints today because it was far from an easy search, with a few words that were hard to find (I beat out “door” and “door” before finally getting DOORWAY).

The phrase “knock, knock” is usually answered with “who’s where?”, but after a quick sequence of PORTAL, ENTRANCE and GATE at the top of the board, I realized we weren’t looking for anything to do with jokes.

Although the spangram got pretty quickly after my first blast, I was struggling with the bottom half of the board and it took me a while to realize that we were looking for INGRESS and THRESHOLD on our way to glory.

Yesterday’s NYT Strands Answers (Friday, November 7, Game #614)

  • SAMBA
  • TANGO
  • SALSA
  • TEHANA
  • MARYACHI
  • REGGAETON
  • SPANGRAM: LATIN MUSIC
