JSW Cement Q2 profit at Rs 75.36 crore on better sales

JSW Cement Ltd reported a profit of Rs 75.36 crore for the September quarter of FY26 on the back of double-digit sales growth.

The company posted a loss of INR 75.82 crore in the July-September period a year ago, according to a regulatory filing from JSW Cement, part of the $23 billion JSW Group, on Friday.

Revenue from operations stood at Rs 1,436.43 crore in September FY26 compared to Rs 1,223.71 crore a year ago. Total expenditure for the quarter was Rs 1,348.72 crore.

Total sales were 3.11 Mt in Q2/FY26 as against 2.71 Mt in the corresponding Q2/FY25.

Total profit, which includes other income of the company, stood at Rs 1,460.06 crore in the September quarter.

In the first half (H1) of FY26, JSW Cement’s total consolidated profit was Rs 3,041.93 crore. As on September 30, 2025, the total net debt stood at Rs 3,231 crore.

This “represents a significant decline from Rs 4,566 crore as of June 30, 2025, mainly due to IPO proceeds,” it said.

This is the second quarter results report of JSW Cement Ltd, which was listed on the stock exchanges on August 14, 2025.

In an investment update, JSW Cement said, “During Q2FY26 and H1FY26, the company incurred capital expenditure (including maintenance capital expenditure) of Rs 509 crore and Rs 964 crore, respectively.”

Power Purchase Pact with JSW Green Energy Fifteen

In a separate statement, JSW Cement said its board of directors at a meeting held on Friday approved entering into a power purchase agreement with JSW Green Energy Fifteen Ltd to purchase solar power from its own plant.

For this, JSW Cement will subscribe to a 26 per cent stake in JSW Green Energy Fifteen, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of JSW Neo Energy Ltd and a spin-off subsidiary of JSW Energy.

On the consideration of the deal, JSW Cement said it was “Rs 21.78 crore for subscription of 26 per cent stake” in JSW Green Energy Fifteen.

The company’s cement grinding capacity is 21.60 million tons per year. It aims to achieve a crushing capacity of 41.85 million miles per annum along with a grinding capacity of 13.04 million per annum of clinker with pan India presence.
