Suva, Fiji — The Radisson Blu Resort Fiji on Denarau Island has completed a FJ$6 million, 12-month renovation to elevate the guest experience throughout the resort. The project included the modernization of distinctive restaurants, public places, family facilities and health areas.
Radisson Blu Resort Fiji lobby
The renovation included Basilico Italian Restaurant, Byblos Lebanese Restaurant, Blu Bar & Grill, and Swim-Up Pool Bar. In 2025, improvements were also made to the Lailai Market, the resort lobby, Harmony Spa, and Blu Banana Kids Club. Guests now take advantage of new poolside umbrellas and large beachfront cabanas for family and adults-only relaxation.
“These improvements reflect our ongoing commitment to providing memorable stays for our guests, many of whom return year after year,” said Charles Homsi, General Manager, Radisson Blu Fiji Resort, Denarau Island.
Fresh arrival and everyday comfort
Guests arriving at the resort now enter the lobby, which seamlessly blends sophisticated elegance with local character. Inspired by the natural beauty of the region, the lobby features a soothing palette of soft, earthy colors and is furnished with contemporary pieces ranging from luxurious lounges to accent tables. Thoughtful layered lighting—which includes soft chandeliers, discreet LED tracks, and atmospheric lights—provides warmth and calm while highlighting architectural details. An open floor plan maximizes mobility for guests of varying needs, while designated areas with comfortable seating provide privacy and socializing, welcoming individuals, couples and groups alike for check-ins or informal meetings. Wood and stone beams and hand-woven decorative features reference regional art, enhancing the space with a sense of place. The reception area features a simple counter with digital check-in options, allowing for fast, guest-friendly service and reducing crowding during peak hours.
Adjacent to the lobby, the converted Lailai Market stands out as a dual-purpose stop, serving as both a quick market and a curated boutique. Its shelves are stocked with freshly roasted coffee, delicious pastries, vibrant salads and handcrafted juices, made daily with local ingredients. Guests can easily find essentials — like sun protection products, trendy hats, and snacks — as well as Radisson Blu-branded merchandise for souvenirs. The market’s central location ensures it is a convenient route for guests whether they are heading out to join a tour, stopping by on their way to the pool, or arriving late and looking for a quick meal or travel essentials.
Family time, play time
Blu Banana Kids Club has reopened with a new, vibrant look and now features thoughtfully designed spaces that promote active play and relaxation. Kids can rush down the spacious indoor slides or test their skills on a safe rock climbing wall with a wide padded floor, ensuring their safety. Along the perimeter, wall-mounted cubes provide convenient storage space and serve as an attractive haven for reading or relaxing with friends. Equipped with kid-friendly tables and chairs, the games and activities room is stocked with classic board games and creative project supplies, promoting imaginative play and teamwork.
The club’s intuitive design allows children to move freely between lively play areas and quiet corners, while the open layout ensures that staff and guardians maintain supervision at all times. In addition, direct access to the Marau Children’s Entertainment Area allows endless possibilities for fun during special events and family programmes, seamlessly integrating the Kids Club into the wider resort offering.
Wellness, dining and outdoor amenities
Harmony Spa has received a comprehensive renovation, and now features beautifully restored interiors, a tranquil setting with soft lighting, soothing scents and an expanded range of rejuvenating treatments, including local Fijian treatments. Whether guests are enjoying relaxing before a swim or recovering after a day in the sun, the invigorating spa environment provides a relaxing retreat in the heart of the resort.
Guests at the Radisson Blu Fiji Resort can enjoy brand-new poolside umbrellas that provide extra shade and stylish comfort, along with increased cabana options that allow both small families and couples to relax in privacy along the beachfront, lively family pools, or an exclusive adults-only relaxation area. These additions ensure that everyone will find their favorite place under the sun or stars.
For foodies, dining improvements are evident throughout the property. Basilico now offers new Italian dishes and family-style sharing platters, while Byblos Restaurant offers an updated Middle Eastern menu and vibrant décor. The Blu Bar & Grill serves fresh seafood and barbecue favorites in a breezy outdoor setting, and the Swim-Up Pool Bar serves up quick, delicious snacks and colorful drinks without ever leaving the water. Together, these upgrades provide guests with a variety of high-quality cooking options, perfect for every occasion.
Looking to the future, the Radisson Blu Resort, Fiji, Denarau Island looks forward to welcoming new and returning guests alike with a rejuvenated island experience. From the moment guests are welcomed in the outdoor oceanfront lounge, to the family fun, easy relaxation and personal attention throughout each stay, the resort aims to provide lasting memories for every visitor.
