South Coast Plaza unveils a stunning holiday wonderland with new experiences and dazzling decor

The holiday season is set to shine brighter than ever at South Coast Plaza as it transforms into a dazzling winter wonderland filled with twinkling lights, enchanting displays and luxurious shopping experiences. From November 20, 2025 to January 4, 2026, visitors can immerse themselves in a festive world of music, magic and timeless holiday traditions that bring joy to families and shoppers from around the world.

The celebration officially begins on November 20 with the 44th Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at Town Center Park, a beloved event that has become a hallmark of the season in Orange County. The concert will include stunning performances by the Pacific Symphony, Pacific Chorale, South Coast Repertory, American Ballet Theatre, The Gillespie School, Southern California Children’s Chorus, and Orange County School of the Arts. The night will culminate in the spectacular lighting of a stunning Christmas tree, joined by special guests and the one and only Santa Claus. This outdoor event is free and open to the public, inviting families to experience the warmth and wonder of the holidays together.

As guests stroll through South Coast Plaza, they will encounter three beautifully themed holiday trees, each with their own charm and elegance. The magnificent Jewel Court tree sparkles with charm and provides the perfect backdrop for festive photos. In the Crate & Barrel and Macy’s Home Store pavilion, another large tree celebrates global holiday traditions with Santa figurines from around the world and a delightful miniature train display. Meanwhile, at Town Center Park, a towering fir tree sparkles under the night sky, adorned with thousands of dazzling lights that capture the spirit of the season.

Families can extend their holiday adventure by visiting Santa himself at two magical locations starting November 21. The Santa Village at Carousel Court and the North Pole at the Crate & Barrel Pavilion/Macy’s Home Store offer magical meet-and-greet experiences, complete with delightful photo opportunities. Kids can also embark on whimsical rides aboard the Reindeer Carousel and Santa’s Express Train – exclusive attractions at South Coast Plaza that provide pure holiday fun. A free train ride is included with any Santa purchase, making it a must-have for every little traveler keen to celebrate the season.
