iPhone: Apple slashes iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus prices to Rs 22,000

The company has slashed the prices of its smartphones by Rs 22,000, which can certainly be called the biggest price cut by smartphone giant Apple in India. Apple iPhone 6S (128GB), which was priced at Rs 82,000 so far, will now be available at Rs 60,000 after a price drop of Rs 22,000.
The larger-screen variant of the iPhone 6s, the iPhone 6s Plus (128GB) will now be available at a price of Rs 70,000. The price of the smartphone has also been slashed by Rs 22,000.
Apple’s 4-inch iPhone SE, launched earlier this year, has also received a price cut. The 64GB version of the iPhone SE, which is currently priced at Rs 49,000, will now be available at Rs 44,000. The price cut comes as the company’s latest iPhones, the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, get closer to India. Apple will launch new iPhones in India on October 7. Although Apple has yet to officially start pre-orders for the two phones, several of the company’s resellers, such as IWorld, have already started accepting pre-orders for the device.
Apple launched the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus in India last October. The Apple iPhone 6s (16GB) was launched at a price of Rs 62,000, while the iPhone 6s Plus (16GB) had an MRP of Rs 72,000.

Both iPhones come with 3D Touch and 2GB of RAM. Both the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus have a 12-megapixel iSight camera that’s capable of shooting 4K video. The front-facing FaceTime camera is 5 megapixels.
Both the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus feature a faster second-generation TouchID sensor and are made from durable aircraft-grade aluminum, just like the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge. Under the hood is the new 64-bit A9 chipset, which is 70% faster than the one seen in the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Similarly, graphics processing is also said to have jumped by 90% thanks to the new GPU compared to the previous generation models.
Apple officially launched the iPhone SE in India in April. The smartphone comes in two variants – 32 GB and 64 GB. The iPhone SE has a 4-inch LED-backlit IPS LCD display with a resolution of 640 x 1136 pixels. It runs on the Apple A9 chipset with the M9 motion co-processor. Other features of the device include a 12MP rear camera and Touch ID. It will be available in Silver, Grey, Gold and Rose Gold colors. The smartphone will go on sale in the country in April.
