Subsequently, as Chief of Staff and Senior Director of Innovation, M&A and Business Development for EMEA, she directed governance processes and led numerous growth initiatives, strengthening eBay’s footprint across EMEA.

Following her years at eBay, Hugh expanded her leadership into the corporate governance and investment sectors. She currently serves as a non-executive director and member of the Nominations and Compensation Committee of DocMorris AG, a leading Swiss online pharmacy and healthcare system company. In addition, she holds the position of Non-Executive Director at People & Places AG, a Swiss asset holding company, where she contributes to the development of portfolio projects across the digital and service industries.

In addition to her executive and board roles, Hu is also a venture capitalist and well-known business innovator. Its pioneering vision and commitment to fostering digital innovation are closely aligned with Amadeus’ strategic priorities of developing smart technology and sustainability-based solutions for the global travel sector.

Earlier in her career, Ho built a foundation in strategic consulting and investment advisory. She has also written extensively as a guest columnist for Forbes China And writing a book on continuing professional development.

In her new role, Hugh will report directly to Amadeus President and CEO Luis Marotto, and will join the company’s Executive Committee. Her appointment comes as Amadeus prepares for the retirement of Wolfgang Krebs, a long-serving executive and respected member of the leadership team. Krebs is scheduled to officially retire in early 2026, with a comprehensive transition and handover period planned to ensure seamless continuity across Amadeus’ strategic operations.

Hu’s arrival represents a new era for Amadeus’ global leadership and reinforces its commitment to innovation, operational excellence and transformational growth.
