Montgomery County Welcomes LuminoCity Holiday Lights Festival with Expanded Attractions, Six Themed Zones, a Special Opening Ceremony and Magical Experiences for All Ages

The LuminoCity Festival returns to Montgomery County with the highly anticipated Holiday Lights extravaganza, illuminating the Montgomery County Fairgrounds from November 14, 2025 to January 1, 2026. After an incredibly successful season in 2023, this year’s festival is introducing an all-new theme, “Wonder Journey,” promising a fairytale-inspired holiday experience that will transport visitors to a magical world full of wonderful things. Twinkling lights, whimsical shows and family-friendly entertainment.

The 2025 edition of LuminoCity elevates the holiday festival experience with six uniquely themed areas, each designed to immerse visitors in a different aspect of the “Wonderful Journey” story. The festival will include expanded animated displays and newly created light installations that bring the fairy tale story to life in lifelike detail. Aimed to delight children and adults alike, these immersive zones offer visitors an experience that blends storytelling, art and holiday season fun.

Events like this bring valuable activity to the community after fair week and highlight the fairgrounds as a year-round destination for unforgettable experiences.”

A notable addition this year is the Bounce Zone, an interactive play area filled with many inflatable toys where children can safely jump, jump and explore. For those who love adventure, LuminoCity will offer two separate train rides that pass through the illuminated festival grounds, providing unique views of the dazzling light displays. Young explorers can also enjoy a “Safari Dig” gem mining experience, a hands-on activity that encourages curiosity and discovery. Meanwhile, music lovers and partygoers can gather on a brand-new LED dance floor, where colorful lights and festive tunes create a lively, fun-filled environment for guests of all ages.

The food offerings have been expanded to include a dedicated food truck rest area, bringing together a variety of delicious local cuisine. From seasonal specialties to savory delights, the food selection ensures every visitor will find something delicious to enjoy. Along with the dining experience, the festival gift shop has been redesigned and expanded, featuring a wide range of themed merchandise, branded souvenirs and keepsakes perfect for remembering a magical night at LuminoCity.

In addition to the permanent attractions, LuminoCity will host a series of special evenings throughout the season, adding additional layers of fun and engagement for attendees. The festival will officially kick off with an opening ceremony at 5:30pm on November 14, setting the tone for weeks of festive celebration.

This marks the third consecutive year that LuminoCity has hosted events in Montgomery County, demonstrating its continued commitment to bringing innovative, family-friendly experiences to the region. In 2024, the festival also introduced the popular “Dino Safari” event at Westfield Montgomery Mall, which received widespread acclaim, establishing Luminosity as a premier destination for immersive holiday entertainment.
