Just a few hours from Metro Manila via STAR Tollway Lekha Health Resorta peaceful retreat tucked away in Barangay Bulbok, Lipa, Batangas. Likha is one of the newest properties they manage Hospitality management approach– A young resort that is still evolving and taking shape into a destination for rest, contemplation and reconnection.
Evening view
Originally built as a private retreat during the pandemic by owner Erica Idon, Likha began as a deeply personal space – a healthy home designed around the balance between health, fitness and motherhood. Its vision has since expanded to become a public haven for those seeking the same sense of harmony.
The resort sits on 1.5 hectares with lush open spaces, including fruit tree orchards and tropical gardens – a natural extension of its tranquil charm. These areas provide space for future health facilities and experiences, reflecting Likha’s vision of thoughtful, organic growth. For now, the hotel remains intimate and boutique in scale – quiet enough to make every guest feel like they’ve arrived at their favorite Tita or Lola country estate, where every breeze and birdsong seems designed to soothe the city’s tired souls.
At the heart of the property is Villa Alab, Likha’s main living area. Designed for gathering and tranquility, it features spacious suites and lofts for families or small groups, as well as private nooks for those seeking solitude. The interiors are calm and sophisticated, surrounded by fruit trees and tropical foliage. Communal spaces include a conversation pit, open terrace, jacuzzi, infrared sauna and swimming pool – each carefully designed to encourage quiet communication and peaceful renewal.
Likha experiences are highly customizable. Guests can choose to book the entire property or share it with others, depending on the resort they envision. Director of Operations Iris Samar stresses that clear communication and coordination are key to the design of each stay – whether it’s an intimate wedding, a family reunion, a couple’s retreat, a corporate wellness retreat, or a retreat for individual mindfulness.
The resort’s wellness offerings include yoga and acupuncture sessions and curated workshops in pottery and weaving. Massage and spa services are provided by Elite Salon and Body Spa, which features signature treatments such as Barako Coffee Scrub, Haplos Massage, Ventosa, and other relaxing rituals. We suggested to the management that they explore local methods of healing and restoration, as Batangas is deeply rooted in Tagalog folk healing traditions. Families and children can join the artistic and creative sessions, reinforcing Likha’s holistic approach to well-being. During our visit, we witnessed a profound sound healing session led by teacher Sheila May Mathias, a unique session that perfectly embodies the spirit of conscious renewal at the resort.
The culinary experience is overseen by Chef Edmund Bascon, who is currently reimagining the resort’s menu while maintaining beloved Filipino staples. Guests are encouraged to try seasonal fruits fresh from the property’s own trees – dragon fruit, santol and coconut juice that is so sweet it needs no added sugar.
Whether you’re drawn to the serenity of a meditation courtyard, the warmth of a fire pit near the mango trees, or the care of a butler who knows when to give space, Likha Wellness Resort promises a stay that can be as personal or as social as you want it to be.
As the holidays approach, Likha Wellness Resort invites travelers to connect directly with the resort team to explore customized packages and cutting-edge wellness offerings. According to Iris, the team is currently working on improving their booking process to soon include activity pricing integrated with bookings, making it easier to design the perfect wellness experience from scratch.
Whether you’re looking for a weekend of silence, a creative escape, or a meaningful celebration, Likha encourages you to curate your own kind of wellness—and start over, refreshed.
