Delta will resume its other two routes in Israel

US airlines appear ready to intervene in Israel again.

Delta Air Lines announced on Friday that it will resume service from Atlanta and Boston to Tel Aviv after being halted during the war between Israel and Hamas.

Flights from Atlanta will operate three times weekly on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays starting April 15, 2026. Meanwhile, service from Boston will resume on a daily basis starting October 24, 2026.

Delta suspended all flights to Tel Aviv during hostilities and then resumed flights from New York only during periods of relative calm.

Now, the airline has since resumed its daily service between New York and Tel Aviv, and plans to add a second daily flight between November 30, 2025 and January 19, 2026, to accommodate increased demand for winter travel.

Just as it did before, Delta will fly an Airbus A330-900neo from Boston and an Airbus A350 from Atlanta.

This news comes in the wake of American Airlines’ announcement last week that it will resume its flights between New York and Tel Aviv. United Airlines also previously announced a third frequency between Newark and Tel Aviv starting next year.

During the war, the Israeli airline El Al monopolized transatlantic services to and from Israel, and the company has since generated record profits.

Israel has historically been a strong market for US airlines, and it is not surprising to see Delta expand its presence as its two other routes resume in Israel.

Of course, a lot can change between now and October 2026 (in the case of Boston Road).

Note that Delta has a codeshare partnership with El Al, so if flights are canceled due to further disruptions, the airline should be able to accommodate you nonstop with its partner.
