The best souvenirs to buy in Dubai

Dubai is a shopper’s paradise, and yes, you can find something cool that goes beyond fridge magnets.

• Camel milk chocolate – It seems strange. Tastes amazing. Al Nassma is the preferred brand.
• Pashmina shawls -Real pashmina is super soft and lightweight (and comes with bragging rights). Beware of fake acrylic.
• Arabic coffee sets – Perfect if you have fallen in love with coffee with cardamom added.
• Spices and dates – Buy saffron, thyme and full-bodied Majjool from countless markets around the city.
• Miniature Burj Khalifa – Yes, they’re a bit touristy, but they’re fun. Especially those that are gold plated.

When should you go to Dubai?

Here’s the short answer: November to March. Warm days, cool nights, everything is open.

Shoulder seasons like April or October? Great if you like heat and shorter lines. summer? It’s doable, but be prepared for the sauna experience. A lot of the outdoor attractions are closed and you will be living in air conditioning.

Additional Tips: Quick gains for a smoother ride

• Wifi It is found everywhere, including shopping malls, beaches and even the metro. Bring a VPN just in case.
• Public transportation Efficient, clean and safe. Use the metro for longer distances and ride-sharing apps for short hops.
• Dress code – Clothing is very comfortable in Dubai, but modest clothing is appreciated in public places. Consider covering your shoulders and knees.
