Air France-KLM has announced the appointment of Laure Daenias as Regional Director for India and Indian Subcontinent, effective September 1, 2025. She will be based at the airline’s country office in Gurugram and will oversee operations across India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Maldives and Sri Lanka.
She succeeds Laure Claude Sarri and will play a pivotal role in strengthening Air France-KLM’s strategic presence across the region. Her responsibilities include enhancing customer experience, driving high-yield revenue growth, deepening brand awareness, enhancing the group’s sustainability and CSR commitments, and expanding codeshare partnerships, particularly with IndiGo.
In the upcoming winter schedule, Air France-KLM will operate up to 54 weekly flights across four major Indian gateways – Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad, with Hyderabad being KLM’s latest addition. Both companies have maintained a strong and enduring relationship with India for 70 years, underscoring the group’s long-term commitment to the market. Laure’s leadership will be instrumental in optimizing the commercial strategy to expand Air France-KLM’s reach throughout the region.
Laure holds a degree in philosophy and began her journey with Air France in 2001 within ground operations in France. Over the years, she has held numerous leadership roles across operational and commercial divisions at Air France’s Paris headquarters, several French regions, and international markets. Her experience extends to quality management in the Americas region, leading client projects at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris, and supervising Air France call centers in the Mediterranean region.
In 2018, she was appointed Regional Director for Senegal and later served as Regional Director for Lebanon and the Levant region until July 2025. During her tenure in Beirut, she also chaired the French Foreign Trade Advisory Committee. In recognition of her professional contributions, the French government honored her in 2024 with the National Order of Merit.
A strong advocate for women’s leadership, Lore brings two decades of diverse operational and business experience to the table. Her comprehensive leadership style and extensive international experience are expected to enhance the Group’s performance and regional partnerships.
Commenting on her new role, Laure Daines said: “I am very pleased to join the Indian organization and collaborate with an exceptionally talented and dedicated team. India has huge potential as one of the fastest growing aviation markets in the world. I am confident that with the commitment of our teams and the support of our valued partners, we will continue to strengthen our presence and deliver a seamless and enriching travel experience to our customers and expand our presence in the region.”
