Hello explorers! ☀️ Some simply eat lunches feel Like vacations. After strolling along Port Vale’s waterfront and watching the sunlight dance across the waves, I found the perfect place to stop – Curtis and Gottperched on the upper balcony MaremagnumWhere the sea meets the city. With its panoramic view of the harbour, the gentle buzz of conversation, and the soft clink of glasses carried in the breeze, this open-air restaurant embodies everything I love about Barcelona: warmth, color, and the art of slowing down.
At the water’s edge
The terrace at Kurz & Gut has pure Mediterranean charm: bright umbrellas, sun-washed wood and endless sea views. From here you can see the masts Marina Port Vellcurve Rambla de Mar The bridge, and even a glimpse Montjuïc Rising green in the distance. It’s lively but never rushed: families share tapas, friends sip beers, and couples get lost in conversation as the afternoon light shines golden on the water. A faint smell of salt and grilled food wafted through the air; Seagulls soar lazily across the sky, and every few moments the yacht drifts away, leaving behind a series of ripples that shimmer like liquid glass.
Both stopped in for lunch after visiting Barcelona Aquarium Or for a drink before sunset, the setting embodies everything I love about Barcelona – colour, light and having a good time!

What we ordered – flavor with a view
We shared a generous plate of… Nachos La Parilla “Don Pedro”Which arrived like a celebration of color and texture. The charcoal grilled tortilla chips came with toppings MCheddar cheese, house-made guacamole, creamy sour cream, seasoned chiles, tomato salsa, pico de gallo, and pickled jalapenos. The heat of the chili peppers met the freshness of the guacamole perfectly – smoky, tangy, and a little fun.

To sip alongside, I ordered a Sangria di finoa deep ruby color and filled with citrus slices. It was fruity but balanced, the kind of sangria that summer tastes like—refreshing, slightly tart, and suitable for long conversations. I tried too La bella lolaA Mediterranean blonde beer (4°) Brewed locally in Barcelona. Light, pure, slightly floral, and carrying subtle hints of malt and citrus. The first sip against the backdrop of the sea air felt almost idyllic, tasting a little of Barcelona’s coastal character in a glass.

Atmosphere and service
The magic of Kurz & Gut lies in its balance of energy and ease, the kind of place where time stretches, not rushes. The staff moved with the assurance of calm that Barcelona is famous for: friendly, efficient and always ready with a smile or a quick joke. Service felt unhurried but thoughtful, with each dish arriving with a pause in conversation, and each glass being refilled before you even noticed it was empty.
The porch itself felt lively in small, beautiful ways. the Wooden surface The chairs creaked softly under the chairs, the sunlight sparkled on the cutlery, and a faint trail of salt and smoke drifted from the kitchen. The soundtrack was spontaneous: a mixture of clinking glasses, laughter, the occasional seagull, and the distant hum of the harbor. Everything was flowing in harmony, reminding me that in Barcelona, even a simple lunch has a rhythm of its own.
