In winter, the entire tundra freezes over, and temperatures drop to -20°C and -40°C. The tundra is not as beautiful as it is in summer but the weather and snow add an epic touch to it. From a weather point of view, it is colder and more uncomfortable, but don’t worry, friends (Local tents) are warm and comfortable.

The Nenets wear their traditional clothing made of reindeer, which makes them especially attractive.

In winter, you will not witness the Nenets migration (unless it is organized) but you will be able to see other activities such as ice fishing, or collecting ice for their water.
