Cleartrip, the leading online travel and leisure aggregator in the Middle East, has signed a multi-year agreement with Saber Corporation for distribution technology support.
With the agreement, Saber becomes Cleartrip’s global distribution system (GDS) partner and is part of OTA’s strategy to streamline the OTA’s GDS relationship.
As customers increasingly bring travel products and services online, through this partnership Cleartrip will be able to create compelling booking experiences for customers and provide an enhanced experience to help people travel again. A key feature of Saber’s technology will be deal-owning, which will help craft custom booking experiences for residents who tailor search results for the most suitable fares based on a range of route options.
“This is an important partnership for Cleartrip and we are excited by the prospects of this collaboration,” said Amit Taneya, chief commercial officer, Cleartrip. “Our mission at ClearTrip is to make travel simple for our customers using best-in-class and best-in-class technologies. This mission is even more relevant as we resume travel in our largest regions.
Cleartrip has established itself as the preferred choice for travelers in the highly competitive markets of the Middle East to negotiate the needs of meeting focused customers with a superior product experience.
“To provide a competitive edge during this uncertain time, many are choosing a partner with the stability and resources to continue investing in advanced and new technology solutions,” said Sean McDonald, vice president, Saber. “The online sector is at the forefront of the travel recovery, so there is a huge opportunity to move quickly. Cleartrip’s decision to adjust its GDS strategy and focus on partnerships will allow OTAs to tap into the expected growth during the recovery.”
