Goa welcomes first charter flight for 2025-2026 tourist season from Kazakhstan, ETTravelWorld

The first charter flight for the 2025-2026 tourist season in Goa has arrived at Dabolim Airport, with County Minister Rohan claiming on Monday that it signifies the state’s “growing international connectivity and its appeal as a global destination”.

The SCAT Airlines flight from Almaty, Kazakhstan arrived at Dabolim Airport on October 25 at 5:30 a.m.

“The arrival of the first charter flight from Kazakhstan demonstrates Goa’s growing international connectivity and its appeal as a global destination. We are committed to strengthening such partnerships and expanding our charter network to diversify source markets while ensuring a sustainable and regenerative approach to tourism,” said State Tourism Minister County.

State Tourism Director Kedar Naik added: “Every new charter flight strengthens Goa’s position as a preferred leisure destination. We appreciate the continuous efforts of our travel partners and stakeholders in promoting Goa and ensuring smooth operations at Dabolim and Mopa airports.”

To celebrate the inaugural arrival, the state tourism department organized a warm and festive welcome in collaboration with Concord Exotic Voyages and the Travel and Tourism Association of Goa (TTAG), an official said.

He added that the arriving guests were welcomed with brass band performances, flower wreaths, followed by a cake-cutting ceremony to mark the start of the trekking season.

The inaugural flight marks the start of a promising season ahead, with several charter flights expected from other international destinations in the coming weeks, the official said.
