Delhi International Airport, operated by GMR Airports, has announced the launch of the e-Arrival Card for foreign passengers from October 1, 2025. The new system, implemented under the auspices of the Immigration Bureau, is in line with the government’s Digital India vision to simplify and digitize passenger processes.
This facility allows international travelers to fill in their arrival details online through secure platforms, eliminating the need for paper arrival cards. This shift is expected to reduce processing time at immigration offices, reduce waiting lists, and enhance overall efficiency. Additionally, the move supports Delhi Airport’s sustainability goals by significantly reducing paper usage.
The digital service can be accessed via the Immigration Bureau’s website (https://boi.gov.in), Indian Visa Portal (https://indianvisaonline.gov.in), mobile app ‘Su-Swagatam’, as well as the official website of Delhi Airport (www.newdelhiairport.in). Passengers will be able to complete their forms up to three days before their scheduled arrival.
This initiative places Delhi Airport among leading international hubs such as those in Singapore, South Korea, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia, which already provide similar digital immigration facilities.
The introduction of the e-Arrival Card comes on the heels of the early launch of India’s first ‘Fast Immigration – Trusted Traveler Program (FTI-TTP)’ at Delhi Airport in June 2024. Together, these initiatives represent a new phase in creating smoother and safer travel experiences for international and domestic travellers.
Vidhi Kumar Jaipuriyar, CEO, said: “We are pleased to collaborate with the Immigration Bureau to launch the e-Arrival Card facility for international travellers. This initiative reflects the Government of India’s commitment to deliver a world-class, hassle-free travel experience while promoting sustainable practices. By digitizing the Arrival Card process, we are enabling faster clearances, shorter waiting times and greater convenience to enhance the overall passenger experience.”
With the launch of this facility, foreign travelers arriving in India can look forward to a streamlined process that prioritizes convenience, sustainability and efficiency.
