TreeBo Hospitality Enterprises (THV), marking a significant expansion of the Mercure brand in Eastern India, has announced the signing of Merguri Siliguri with leading and interglobe under a Master Franchise arrangement. The new ownership will strengthen the presence of a globally recognized medium hospitality in Silikuri – a major trade and transit hub connecting North Bengal, Sikkim and North Eastern states.
Often referred to as the gateway to the Eastern Himalayas, Siliguri attracts a wide range of tourists, from business executives and project groups to families and adventure tourists. Its strategic location and growing tourism infrastructure make it a natural fit for offering protection from a global perspective on a global scale that offers comfort with local appeal.
Mercure Siliguri will offer 50 well-appointed rooms, a multi-cuisine restaurant, banquet and meeting facilities and modern amenities to suit both the corporate and leisure segments. With its central location, the hotel will provide easy access to the main business districts, while serving as a convenient base for travelers en route to the Himalayan region and nearby national parks.
The signing comes at a time when India’s mid-market hospitality sector continues to gain momentum with growing dominance for robust domestic travel, rising revenue levels and trusted brand loyalty. The new property aims to meet this demand by offering international quality standards while celebrating local culture and community engagement.
Partnered with Accor and Interglobe through THV’s master franchise partnership, the company is set to accelerate the rollout of mid-range hotels across cities in Developing India. The Meraki Siliguri project embodies the partners’ shared vision of combining what their partners have in common with grounded, locally inspired guest experiences.
Sidharth Gupta, Co-Founder and CEO, Treebo Hospitality Enterprises, said:
“Siliguri is a high-potential market that connects multiple regions and traveler segments. We are excited to bring the trend to this vibrant city through our partnership with Accore.
