Swayam, India’s leading accessibility organization, has been actively involved in the Purple Fest in Goa. As Chairman of CII’s India Business Disability Network, Sminu Jindal, founder of Swayam, consults on Inclusive Tourism, Hospitality and Sports, Hospitality and Sports, in partnership with the Confederation of Hospitality and Sports (CII) and Purple Festival.
The session was attended by Subhash Pal Dessai, Minister of Social Justice, Government of GOA, GoaPrasad Pawaskar, Chief Disability Commissioner, GOA, Secretary, Disability Commission attended.
The discussions brought together stakeholders from the political, industry and advocacy sectors, regardless of how people with disabilities are doing, whether they are leisurely or without disabilities. Jindal also joined a guest session as Guest Speaker, as Guest Speaker, highlighting the ongoing efforts to make adventure sports such as para-disabled and scuba diving accessible to guests with disabilities.
Emphasizing the need for sustainable and practical measures, Sminu Jindal said lack of accessibility has the potential to cost people more economically, especially in a country with a human touch.
