Saudi Arabia will host the UN Tourism General Assembly in November, Ettravelworld

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the Ministry of Tourism, will host the UN General Assembly on Tourism from 26 to 11, 2025.

More than 160 member states, international organizations and global industry leaders are expected to attend the prestigious gathering, which will explore the transformative role of artificial intelligence in shaping multiple chapters. The Assembly will also commemorate five decades of global cooperation within the framework of the UN Tourism Framework, as well as global cooperation within the framework of tourism aimed at its inclusive, robust and sustainable growth.

Ahmed Al Khateeb, Minister of Tourism of Saudi Arabia, extended an invitation to global stakeholders to participate in this milestone event.

“We look forward to hosting the World Tourism Organization in a session that will redefine global action in this increasingly vital sector and beyond.”

As the first GCC nation to host the UN agency’s General Assembly, Saudi Arabia sees it as a major step in its growing role as a global tourism aggregator.

“This session increases the importance of the global vote of confidence given to Saudi Arabia as a aggregator and a reliable platform for international dialogue on tourism and a reliable platform for tourism,” added Minister Al Khateeb. “Our mission is to bring together the world as a host, connect ideas and capitalize on international collaboration to advance sustainable development goals in a growing tourism industry.”

The agenda of the event will include four general meeting cheeses, committee meetings and “a tourism one thematic meeting Ai-power Age. Along with this, there will be the election of the Secretary General of UN Tourism and the 124th and 125th sessions of the Executive Council, the organization’s highest decision-making body.

After the General Assembly, the first global platform of Saudi Arabia’s first tourist summit (11-13-13-13, 2025), a new global platform connecting tourism, technology, investment, sustainability and culture, will be opened. The summit aims to address global challenges and set a forward-looking agenda for the industry’s sustainable future.

By hosting and hosting the General Assembly, Saudi Arabia continues to strengthen its position as a center for global dialogue, multilateral cooperation and Saudi Vision 2030 to align tourism, diversify the economy and drive sustainable development.
