Nuego, India’s leading intercity electric bus brand by Greencell Mobility, has completed three years of operations, strengthening its market dominance in sustainable intercity travel. Operating more than 300 electric buses across 120+ cities and serving more than 600 daily trips, Nuego has redefined intercity travel with a focus on comfort, safety, convenience and environmental responsibility.
Since its inception, its coaches have covered 2,765 million kilometers, avoiding more than 261 million kilograms of carbon dioxide emissions. This is equivalent to planting more than 3.53 million trees. The company employs more than 5,000 people, including 150+ women and 10+ transgender individuals, reflecting its commitment to diversity and inclusion.
To ensure operational efficiency, Nuego has installed a network of 180 kW or 240 kW each, capable of charging a bus in just two hours.

Nuego pioneered empowerment in women’s safety and intercity travel. Women are used as coach captains and cabin hosts to create a safe environment for passengers. The company launched India’s first all-women intercity bus service with both passengers and crew. Security measures include a 24×7 women’s bed (1800 267 3366), CCTV surveillance, real-time GPS tracking, driver breathalyzer tests and AI-enabled driver monitoring.
