MakeMyTrip, India’s leading online travel company, has launched an AI-Powered feature designed to facilitate semantic search, hotel and home discovery. The new capability allows travelers to stay with natural language such as “pet-friendly hotels in Mani with pool Manali” or “Heritage stay near jaipur forts with park” should continue with multiple filters.
Built on the same AI framework as MakemyTrip’s Genai enabler, Myra, a semantic search engine, interprets open queries to provide relevant and context-focused results based on traveler intent. It supports personalized recommendations powered by proprietary visuals, curated user-generated content, and relevant ratings.
The system also offers over-the-top recommendations such as “Ooty Mountain Views”, “Ooty Mountain Views” with context tags such as “Great for Families” or “for families” or “Private Pools” or “Private Pools”. This feature aims to make discovery faster, simpler and easier for users.
Speaking of development, “MakeMyTrip,” Makemytrip, “Makemytrip,” Makemytrip, “MakeMyTrip, we simplify one of the most important parts of a traveler’s journey, traveling with a travel plan as natural as a conversation.
The implementation of semantic search builds on Makemytrip’s broader AI innovation strategy. Earlier this year, the company launched a beta version of its Genai Trip Planning Assistant for travelers at various stages – from discovery and post-trip support to post-trip support. Currently available in English and Hindi, Myra allows users to order by voice or text, with plans to expand to additional Hindi languages following user feedback.
