Jamia conference to focus on tourism and hospitality, entrepreneurship at Ettravelworld

The Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management, Ceyma Millia Islamia, is organizing a three-day international conference on ‘enterprise and hospitality and hospitality and hospitality’ from 28 to 30 January 2022. The conference is sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism. India.

Stakeholders from tourism, national tourism associations and academies will participate in the virtual three-day conference. Some prominent global thought leaders in the domain of entrepreneurship will also be discussed at the conference.

India; Venu Vasudevan, Additional Principal Secretary, Higher Education & Tourism, Govt. Kerala; Rupinder Brar, Additional Director General, Ministry of Tourism; Rajiv Mehra, President, Indian Tour Operators (IATO) and Anil K Rajput, Joint Secretary, Association of Domestic Tour Operators (AdToi) of India (AdToi).

On the occasion of National Tourism Day, Rajan Bahadur, Rajan Bahadur, Tourism and Hospitality Skills Council, explains the growing need for expertise and quality manpower in the tourism and hospitality industry.

Entrepreneurship in the field of tourism and hospitality leads to the financial growth of the country. It paves the way to increase the employment opportunities for the countrymen and grow up to a growth trajectory of the nation. It ensures the service sector to be a part of the demand and supply chain, thereby ensuring economic progress and socio-economic balance in the country. Through this international conference, Cediya Millia Islamia is designed to provide a forum for researchers, educators and practitioners in the field of research and practice to provide their practice and experience. Tourism and hospitality aims to attract an interesting combination of academic scholars, practitioners and individuals involved in innovation and entrepreneurship education and various dimensions of entrepreneurship and research. The aim is to address the role of entrepreneurship research in the context of modern tourism and hospitality.

Jamia’s Dept of Tourism and Hospitality Management organized a five-day faculty development program on responsible tourism. Rakesh Mathur, President Emeritus of India Society for Responsible Tourism India, announced the evolution of responsible tourism in India.

The event will focus on the role of women in entrepreneurship and hospitality, the role of women in tourism and hospitality, the role of higher education and innovation in tourism, the role of tourism and innovation, and the role of hospitality promotion and hospitality initiatives and hospitality, and the role and direction of the hospitality industry for its bright future. The conference will help bring different stakeholders, diverse stakeholders to discuss future tourism trends, ideas, impact and methodologies based on theoretical and practical approaches to increase innovation and entrepreneurship in the tourism and hospitality sector.
