India’s leading airline, India’s leading airline, has entered into a strategic partnership with GIANT TECHNOLOGY Giant Amadeus to bring its new distribution capacity (MDC) content to Indian travelers and travel through the Amadeus travel platform. This partnership continues to enhance the Indigo customer experience and expand market reach.

Indigo, which will carry more than 110 million passengers in 2024, will now leverage Amadeus’ advanced technology and extensive network to reach new markets and customer segments. With 96 percent global coverage of MDM-ready travel retailers, Amadeus offers the ability to distribute their content more efficiently and deliver an even higher level of retail experience.

A breakthrough in the airline distribution landscape, NDC technology enables standardized messaging between airlines and travel vendors to ensure a smoother booking process. Through this partnership, travel agents and corporate customers will have direct access to Indigo’s full range of products, enhancing the booking experience by offering exclusive deals, dynamic pricing and personalized promotions.

Working with Amadeus’ MDC capabilities and seamless integration with Indigo’s IT systems via Navitaire, the airline will be able to offer Tailorededs more efficiently and deliver. This will increase upsells and provide a smoother customer experience across sales channels. Indigo has already implemented NDC booking capabilities in the UAE and Singapore, with plans to roll out to other markets soon.

Malaysia Airlines is working to expand its operations in India, focus on new destinations and increase flight frequency to Trivandrum and Ahmedabad. Currently flying to nine Indian cities with 71 weekly flights, the airline sees India as a vital market. Expansion plans for next year, contingent on acquisition of additional aircraft.
