Bird Academy has partnered with the State Forest Department of Sikkim to impart soft skills training on departmental relations and client relations for the Forest Management Project. The training will be offered to 26 selected officers at State Commentary Centers in Sikkim. Training includes customer service, administrative duties, maintenance and etiquette, and communication.
The purpose of this specific training program is to provide knowledge, build confidence and deepen your understanding of your duties, which will further improve your customer service skills. Part of the bird group receives training and education, especially in travel, tourism and hospitality skills.
The profile of the candidates varies from permanent in station or environmental assistants with minimum educational qualification equal to or above senior level.
Karma Loday Bhutia, Director of Forest, Environment and Wildlife, Mines, Minerals and Geology and Science and Technology, Government of Sikkim, appreciated the efforts of the bird academy to facilitate the educational program in Sikkim. He added that the participants should be trained through training to the relevant interpretive centers and villagers to serve both domestic and foreign tourists, become better tourist guides and earn their livelihood effectively. He also highlighted the abundant eco-bio diversity that Sikkim possesses.
